Patient-Reported Outcomes in the PROSPECT Trial of Locally Advanced Rectal Cancer

In the PROSPECT trial, patients with rectal cancer that had spread to nearby tissue or lymph nodes but had not spread to distant organs were randomly assigned to receive chemoradiation therapy or FOLFOX. In a report published by Basch et al in the Journal of Clinical Oncology, investigators examined patient-reported outcomes and health-related quality of life in patients in both assignment groups in PROSPECT.
